"I first met Doug Johnston, President of Little Red Ride Promotions, at a Colorado Independent Publishers Association College in 2004. His humbleness and obvious knowledge about publishing and marketing impressed me. As I watched his company grow, my admiration for him grew as well. I felt honored that Doug reviewed my upcoming book, The Journey -- Home from Autism.

Honest, honorable, committed and connected are all words that I would use to describe Doug Johnston. I look forward to working with Doug again in the near future!

Little Red Ride signs Amy Van Wagenen

10 July, 2009 – Layton, Utah – Little Red Ride Promotions is happy to announce the signing of singer/songwriter Amy Van Wagenen. Amy started singing at the age of four. Her father decided she had talent and that it needed to be showcased. She has been performing ever since. She is grateful for music and loves to perform for others.

When Amy was seventeen, she also began to speak along with singing in many different forums and at many events. She was able to share with her audience her gift and love of music along with her thoughts and positive message. These experiences have helped Amy to gain a lot of self confidence and build character. She has grown into an outstanding young woman.

For a time, Amy decided to put her music career on hold to start her family. She is the proud mother of four beautiful children who, in her own words are her, “greatest accomplishment.” She believes that, “My family comes first…everything else is just fluff.” Amy and her family live in South Jordan, Utah.

Amy has a great belief in the power of music and believes it has had a tremendous affect on her life. During her impressionable years, she found music to be a great strength and comfort to her. This belief has carried over into her adulthood, and now, she sincerely desires that she can help others find this power and strength in her music. She released her debut album titled, “Waiting” in October of 2008. The album is a collection of inspirational songs that promote a great faith in and devotion to the Savior. They also encourage each listener to strive towards fulfilling their divine potential and to find joy in this life.

Amy draws her creative inspiration for her music from the scriptures and from her experiences as a wife and a mother. Her favorite times are those spent with her family. She also loves to read and can get so caught up in a novel that everything else in the world disappears as she becomes totally immersed in the story. Other things that Amy enjoys are writing poetry, knitting, and dancing….however, the dancing only takes place in her kitchen!

Dean Kaelin, a world renowned vocal coach has said this about Amy and her music, “Every so often one comes along with something special, something different, something unique, something that makes them stand out in the crowd. Amy Van Wagenen is such as artist! Amy has a wonderful feel and style all her own. We need her sound and her positive messages in the world today. This is inspirational music at its finest!”

Paul Cardall, musician, producer and record executive has also said that Amy’s music is, “Heartfelt and needed in today’s world!”

Amy has truly been given a gift from her Father and she lets that light shine brightly. As she moves forward fulfilling her musical aspirations, her fans and those just discovering her, will truly be blessed by the light and inspiration she brings to their lives through her music.
